What To Do If You've Been ‘Glutened'
Top tips
- Drink Teas: Peppermint, fennel, chamomile or green tea with lemon
- Drink lots of water
- Take activated charcoal or apple cider vinegar to help break down the enzymes.
- You can take Metamucil (a fibre supplement) to help flush out the gluten
- Eat healthy food instead of sugar treats
- Eat easily digestible foods
- Eat plain foods like pasta, rice and potato
- Medicine: Buscopan with peppermint tea, probiotics, painkillers
- Rest! Get cosy, have a hot bath and get a hot water bottle and nap! (I always find if I have been glutened I become SO sleepy and drained!)
